Banyan and Tsai Hsing School in Taipei launched the partnership in 2009 with one classroom and one camera. Daily live English instruction, taught by Banyan facilitators, built directly into the school day.
Over the next 17 years, the program scaled to 8 classrooms across grades K through 9. Banyan designed and wrote the Bridges textbook series for the school. More than 6,000 Tsai Hsing students have participated. The partnership won the CILC Pinnacle Award, and many graduates go on to top international universities.
Tsai Hsing’s program is unlikely to be replicated at the same scale at another school. We share it here as proof of depth: every individual piece of that partnership is something Banyan can deliver, in any subset, for your school.

Tsai Hsing is the maximum-scope example: daily live instruction across eight classrooms, a custom textbook series, ongoing curriculum design, and PD for the school’s English faculty. Most partnerships don’t start there, and they don’t need to.
A school might begin with teacher PD only, building internal capacity around storytelling and project-based learning. Another might commission a Bridges-style textbook tailored to their grade levels. A third might pilot daily live instruction at a single grade level and scale from there.
Every engagement is bespoke. We start by listening to what your existing English program does well, where students are getting stuck, and what your school wants to be true in three years. The components follow from there.
