Convince me I’m wrong:

FaceTime is not screen time.

When we talk about the need to limit screen time for kids (and for ourselves!), we should not count toward the tally our minutes spent building connections with the colleagues, friends and loved ones who are not in our physical presence.

The moments of authenticity we share using this ubiquitous technology are much more IRL than URL. It can be seen as the perfect marriage of technology and humanity, borrowing the best characteristics of each.

Think, for example, how much more tolerable it has made the past year.

Zoom fatigue is real, but fatigue relents.

This technology is here to stay, and our lives are better for it.
