Collaboration Coordinator

Lela received her master’s degree in English Education from Columbia University, Teachers College in 2012. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English & Art History from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006. Lela taught English and History at the middle school level for ten years at independent schools in California. After spending a decade in the traditional classroom, Lela joined the BGL team to explore new approaches in teaching and curriculum development on a global scale. When Lela isn’t immersed in education, she’s hiking, running, practicing yoga, reading, and writing.
