Digital Citizenship for Grade 7: The Complete Series


This three-part Digital Citizenship series for 7th graders in a fun, engaging and interactive way to bring Digital Citizenship into your classroom. Whether you already incorporate curriculum or do not have any, our teachers adapt this series to fit your needs. In this Digital Citizenship Series, students will learn how to safely and responsibly navigate the many aspects of the Internet. Each program can be given on its own, but they each work together, along with our programs for grades 5-8 to meet critical learning objectives on this topic.
This series includes all three episodes of the Digital Citizenship Series:
Episode 1: My Digital Habits
This lesson focuses on determining which online behaviors are healthy.
Episode 2: My Online Persona
This lesson focuses on online personas.
Episode 3: Balancing Tech Time
This lesson focuses on setting boundaries with technology.
Schools can deliver the series to the same classrooms or provide each grade level with one episode. Contact us for more details. We always try to meet the needs of each classroom.

Episode 1:

Students will have greater awareness of their own screen time usage and digital habits. They will know what amount of time is too much to be considered healthy. Students will also learn about the dangers of being “chronically online”.

Episode 2:

Students will determine what it means to create an online persona for themselves responsibly. They will be able to identify and further understand their online audience. They will also explore what ways are healthy to interact with others in their online circles. 

Episode 3:

Students will develop a greater awareness of how they consume information on the internet. They will understand what it means to go viral online. Students will also explore ways to resist “doom scrolling”, and the pressures to post too much online.
